Garry Winogrand, a street photographer, best known for his unique portrait of American life in the mid 20th century, is one of my favorite photographers. I was lucky enough to visit his exhibition at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. this weekend. There were around 160 photographs in the gallery, but during his 25 years of work he exposed more than 25,000 roles of film.
